You'd have to think Fury then goes after Usyk to retire undisputed next year

Worthless fight
Should never happen
If Usyk isn't ready you have to box someone other than Wilder or AJ
Ruiz is a better option and I don't like that either
This fight is retarded

I somewhat agree It is a fight for UK fans and I think he just wants to be able to say he fought all the notable heavyweights of his era and UK fans have wanted to see this fight fir some time

I think Fury wins by KO in the 6th

Fury is vastly underrated by the media, he is an amazing boxer for his size, then the power comes naturally when he connects.
Not an all time great but top notch.
I fear he will not be ready and possibly fail, he has probably not been training it is not easy to stop for an extended time then get back to 100%, despite the Rocky movies stuff.

I am shocked. Thought close to 100 percent that they would come to terms on the circus fight vs Francis Ngannou.

Imo Fury IS an all time great, not only amazing boxer but underrated defensively as well as great movement and footwork for a man his size

His length alone would have been a huge problem for many other all time greats

Depends on how long your list of “All Time Great Heavyweights” is…

AND hard to compare eras, nutrition, HGH, weights, training techniques more sophisticated in 2022.

AND fewer men box these days. Read a newspaper from the 50’s it’s all baseball & boxing.

It's pretty long, even tho the last 30yrs or so there hasn't been that many new entries.... Fury could have been champ in any era imo, he's a unicorn really

I don't put Lennox Lewis or the Klitchkos or Holyfield on there but I'll put Tyson Fury on it without a doubt.... who in the last 40yrs of heavyweight boxing do you see as better than Fury?

You said all time great, not last 40 years.
That is part of the issue, boxing has pretty much died and kids are not taking up boxing much these days.
Its hard to compare eras but Ali-Frazier-Foreman-Mike Tyson-Holmes and several others (Lennox Lewis, Joe Louis to name a few) , would be ranked above Fury. Mike Tyson, before he lost his manager and trainer, for a just a few yrs, was the #2 heavyweight of all time IMO. Wlad Klitschko would have been an interesting fight for Fury.
I like Tyson Fury, he is damn good, but he is fighting in an era with very little competition.

Lennox Lewis had a suspect chin and loses to Fury... also Fury did fight and beat Klitschko.

Klitschko was 39 at the time, banged up for years.

Fury was 27.

Nice try.

(Fury would have beaten Ali at 27 if he fought Ali at age 39, remember Ali looked SO BAD vs Larry Holmes---Ali was 38)

And Tyson did the same thing to Larry Holmes whats the point? Klitschko was 10 year champ at that point and wanted a rematch which fell through bc Fury was medically unfit.... he wasn't that banged up he did a decent enough job in their fight

"also Fury did fight and beat Klitschko.", you said.

My point is that you said Fury beat Klitschko but it is not a credible statement at all since Fury was 27 and Klitschko was 39 and yes Klitschko had been dinged with misc physical ailments for years in the late stages of his career. Many old and over the hill champs take one too many fights in the twilight of their careers, it happened all through boxing history---most of the time, it is sad to see.

No logic exists that supports your statement.
